From the 25th to the 27th of April, an EPRC representative participated to the Special Operations’ Annual Discipline Conference (SO ADC) organised by the NATO Special 0perations Headquarters (NSHQ) and hosted by the NATO Special Operations University (NSOU) in Chièvres (BEL). The aim of the conference was to bring together all contributors to the SOF discipline’s current & prospective training solutions and to ensure that the proposed solutions in terms of courses ad exercises meet the training requirements. This was implemented via various workshops and syndicate works all along the three-day conference. The Personnel Recovery (PR) and the Special Operations (SO) disciplines interact in many ways, and operators from each domain needs to understand the principles of the other, and be educated and trained appropriately, via an efficient exchange of knowledge regarding the respective procedures.
Based on the recently signed Letter of Cooperation between EPRC and NSHQ, the participation of the EPRC at this conference was a great opportunity for the experts from the two Organizations to hold side talks aimed at strengthening the cooperation and to discuss the details of the mutual support in their respective courses.
