ITALY, 27 September – 07 October 2022
The European Personnel Recovery Centre has concluded the second iteration of the year of its Joint Personnel Recovery Staff Course (JPRSC), held from the 27th of September to the 07th of October 2022 inside the Italian JFAC HQ facilities at Poggio Renatico Air Base, Italy.

This 22-02 iteration was organised and conducted by the EPRC Permanent Staff with the outstanding support provided by external PR experts coming from various entities either within NATO (HQ AIRCOM, CAOC Uedem) or in national Units (Belgium, Germany, Italy), together with the active presence of observers from CASPOA (French Air Operations CoE) and NATO JFC Brunssum.
The EPRC has always relied on the support of such external instructors with strong experience in the field of PR, who provide their valuable support in various ways, mainly through the delivery of lectures and also through the mentoring during role plays when the groups of students are divided into learning syndicates. An education to PR Staff positions within small syndicates, in fact, is recognised as most efficient for the active engagement of participants, thus contributing to their learning curve throughout the Course.
18 military students coming from 6 EPRC Nations (Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Italy and the Netherlands) and 3 Partner Nations (Denmark, Greece and Lithuania) and originated from various Services successfully completed the NATO-selected Course and were handed over the EPRC Certificate, which may allow their Nation to graduate them as JPR Staff Members in a JPRC/PRCC in Operations and/or Exercises. Besides the achievement of the learning objectives, the Course also gave the participants the possibility to strengthen ties and create a valuable network of PR-related personnel both in Europe and across the Atlantic.
The EPRC is most grateful to the Italian Air Force for having made available their JFAC HQ premises, which provide an optimum training environment for the students. We specifically thank HN dedicated Staff whose efforts have been, together with the EPRC IT Managers’ ones, critical to the Course’s success.
The EPRC is currently planning two new iterations of the Course for 2023, currently planned at the end of February and in September. The Calling Notice for the JPRSC 23-01 is coming soon.
