The EPRC supported the 22nd Joint Personnel Recovery Staff Course (JPRSC), organised by the Italian Joint Air Operations School (ITA JAOS) and held in Guidonia Air Base, from the 13th to the 24th of November, 2023.
The ITA JAOS is a joint education centre of the Italian Armed Forces, characterised as the only education institution of the Italian Ministry of Defence accredited by NATO. It provides worthwhile teaching, in continuous evolution and in line with technological innovations, in order to maintain constant adherence to the education needs of the national Armed Forces, NATO and friendly Countries.
This iteration was conducted with the appreciated support provided by external PR experts coming from the EPRC, the European Defence Agency (EDA), the US Special Operations Command Europe (US SOCEUR) and the Italian Armed Forces.
The external instructors, with strong experience in the field of PR, provided their valuable support in various ways, mainly by delivering PR-related lectures and by instructing the students tasked to resolve simulated PR events through the conduct of roleplays.
Twenty-two military students from various services, not only Italian but also originated from Norway, attended the Course. All of them successfully completed the syllabus and were graduated to operate as “JPR Specialist” in a Joint PR Centre (JPRC)or PR Coordination Cell (PRCC), supporting the execution of PR operations at Operational and Tactical level.
The Course, which is a NATO-listed one, was also a unique opportunity for the participants to exchange experiences aimed at introducing them into the PR network.
The EPRC is proud to be requested such support, and keen to continue providing it, fully in line with its mission to contribute to the enhancement of its Members’ PR capabilities, and its vision to be recognised as a PR hub in Europe.
