The European Personnel Recovery Centre (EPRC) took part in the Annual Partnership Training and Education Centres (PTEC) Commandants’ Conference (CC) 2025, held from 2 to 5 June at the Raiffeisen Forum in Vienna, Austria. The event was co-chaired by HQ SACT’s Multi-Domain Force Development Directorate (MDFD) and the NATO School Oberammergau (NSO), and hosted by the Austrian Armed Forces International Centre (AUTINT).
This flagship annual event brings together the PTEC community to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment of training programmes with NATO Education and Training (E&T) standards. Key objectives include integrating activities across PTECs to meet NATO’s current and future operational requirements and strengthening practical cooperation both within the community and with NATO.
EPRC’s participation held particular significance, as it is recognised as the leading PTEC for Personnel Recovery training. Through its specialised courses, the EPRC plays a vital role in enhancing NATO and partner capabilities, fostering an integrated and standardized approach to Personnel Recovery across the Alliance.

During the conference, PTEC Commandants received briefings from various NATO entities, reviewed the outcomes of the recent PTEC Working Group (WG) 2025, and provided guidance and recommendations for the upcoming WG 2026. The agenda also included a half-day familiarization visit to AUTINT facilities, allowing participants to observe best practices and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration.
