EPRC JPR Staff Course was held at the Poggio Renatico Air Base, on 23rd February – 06th March. This edition was hosted by the European Personnel Recovery Centre, conducting the event with its permanent staff and the appreciated collaboration of, one instructor coming from the Joint Air Power Competence Centre (JAPCC), one Italian instructor currently posted in the ITA Air and Space Operations Command (COA), and the highly appreciated collaboration of one US PR specialist, currently PR Director of the US Naval Forces in Europe and Africa. In spite of all the challenges faced during the preparation due to the limitations imposed by the COVID 19, the course was finally run thank to the strict mitigation measures adopted and the collaboration of the participants, making it possible. Thank you all!
19 students from 9 different nations (Holland, France, Italy, Estonia, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Belgium and United States) and different services attended the course. EPRC would like to highlight the participation of Croatia and Estonia for the first time. EPRC is always glad of having new countries participating in our course and widening the PR community.
Attending this course, students received the basic skills and knowledge and the EPRC Certification to act as JPR Staff Member in a JPRC/PRCC in Operations and/or Exercises. EPRC JPR Staff Course has been conducted for the first time as a NATO selected course, having obtained this valued certification on 16th July 2020 and consequently, included in the NATO ETOC (Education and Training Opportunities Catalogue).
JPRSC is a tangible proof of how EPRC, as Discipline Leader in the EU and Personnel Recovery recognized reference in NATO, can support Nations providing standardization and effective training among the JPR Staff in accordance with the abovementioned NATO standards and quality assurance.
Finally, EPRC would also like to recognize the trust of the sending nations, especially under these difficult circumstances. EPRC will always maintain its commitment of providing support and expertise to the EPRC nations and their partners in the field of Personnel Recovery.
