Oberammergau, 15-16 June 2026
The European Personnel Recovery Centre (EPRC) took part in the Annual Partnership Training and Education Centres (PTEC) Commandants’ Conference 2026, held on 15 and 16 June at the NATO School Oberammergau, Germany.

The Conference represents the primary annual event for the PTEC community, providing Commandants with the opportunity to coordinate activities, ensure the alignment of training programmes with NATO Education and Training standards, and strengthen practical cooperation among PTECs and with NATO. During the event, participants reviewed the outcomes of the PTEC Working Group 2026 and provided guidance and recommendations for the upcoming Working Group 2027.
The agenda included updates from several NATO entities, as well as discussions on digital transformation, Multi-Domain Operations in Education and Training, and the NATO course certification process. Dedicated syndicate sessions also addressed innovative Mobile Training solutions and new tools to enhance cooperation and information exchange among Centres.
EPRC’s participation was particularly significant, as the Centre is the only PTEC dedicated to Personnel Recovery and is therefore recognised as NATO’s unique centre of expertise in this field. Its active involvement in the Conference reaffirmed EPRC’s commitment to promoting common standards, sharing best practices, strengthening professional cooperation, and contributing to the development of NATO and partner capabilities through specialised Personnel Recovery education and training.
