Mons, Belgium – 16-19 FEB 2026

From 16 to 19 February 2026, the European Personnel Recovery Centre (EPRC) participated in the 5th Annual Disciplines Forum (ADF), held at the Mons Congress Centre in Mons. The event, conducted within the NATO Global Programming Annual Battle Rhythm, brought together Requirements Authorities, Department Heads and Education and Training Facilities to synchronize the NATO Education, Training, Exercise and Evaluation (ETEE) process.
The Forum provided a valuable opportunity to align ongoing work and prepare for the upcoming Annual Discipline Conference, which for EPRC, as the focal point for Personnel Recovery (PR) within the AIROPS discipline, will take place in Lyon in May. Discussions during the ADF helped refine priorities, coordinate training requirements and ensure coherence between individual and collective education and training efforts.
Throughout the meeting, NATO representatives repeatedly highlighted the expectation for the formal appointment of EPRC as Department Head for Personnel Recovery. This recognition confirms the increasingly central role that EPRC plays in the international PR community and reflects NATO’s confidence in the Centre’s expertise, leadership and strategic vision in this field. Equally important was the opportunity to strengthen relationships with NATO stakeholders and the wider international community. Participation in forums such as the ADF remains essential for reinforcing EPRC’s visibility, contributing to policy development, and ensuring that Personnel Recovery continues to evolve in line with both Alliance priorities and those of the six EPRC member nations.
