Grottaglie, Italy – 16-18 SEPT 2025
The EPRC acting Commander and a member of the EDU Branch were invited once again to take part as speakers in the ITALIAN NAVY PR Week 25-2, held this time at the Naval Air Station of Grottaglie from the 16th to the 18th of September 2025.
The event, organized bi-annually by the Helicopter Assault Division of the Italian Navy Fleet Air Arm – acting as PR agency/SME for the Commander in Chief of the Italian Navy (CINCNAV) – took the form of a seminar and brought together PR Officers from across the Italian Navy. Its purpose remains to provide updates on PR-related topics, reinforce knowledge, and further strengthen the PR culture in the maritime environment across all naval units, from Divisions to Destroyers, Frigates, Minehunters, Submarines and support ships.
On this occasion, the Base Commander of Grottaglie, warmly welcomed the EPRC staff, underlining the importance of international cooperation and the value of EPRC’s contribution to the collective effort in Personnel Recovery.
The programme was further enriched by a visit to the Italian Navy Amphibious Brigade San Marco in Brindisi. During the visit, the EPRC delegation had the opportunity to present its main activities, notably the Air-centric Personnel Recovery Operatives Course (APROC) and the PR Staff Course, raising awareness and fostering interest within the amphibious community.
Overall, the event provided an excellent platform to reaffirm EPRC’s role as the central hub for Personnel Recovery in support of NATO Nations, while also strengthening ties with the Italian Navy and its specialized units.
